Knowledge Constructor: 3a

This project will allow students use a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.  The project will strengthen student’s technological abilities through using digital tools.  The students will use QR scanner to obtain the number to complete a ten frame.  The QR scanner will display the number associated with the QR code (box).  Once the number is displayed the student will write the number on the line provided below the QR code box.  Then the student will color in the tens frame box according to the number associated with the QR code.  The ISTE Standards for this project is  3a- Student plan and employ effective research strategies to locate information and other resource for their intellectual or creative pursuits.  Combined with SC Standard K.ATO.3- Compose and decompose numbers up to 10 using objects, drawings, and equations.

Students will access internet via iPad.  This is where they will use QR scanner which is on iPad.  Once they scan QR code they will write the number on the line provided.  They the student is to color in correct number of boxes in tens frame The app we used on iPad is QR scanner.  Located at:

This project addresses ISTE Standard 3d- Student build by actively exploring real-world issues and problems, developing ideas and theories and pursuing answers and solutions.  As well as, SC Standard K.ATO.2- Solve real-world/story problems using objects and drawing to find sums up to 10 and differences within 10.
