ISTE Standards 7c -Global Collaborator
ISTE Standard- Global Collaborator
Standard: 7c
The ISTE standard for these lesson is 7- Global Collaborator c. This standard has the students contribute constructively to project teams, assuming various roles and responsibilities to work effectively toward a common goal.
I compiled the lesson to meet South Carolina ELA standard K.NS.4b. for Kindergarten along with the ISTE Standard. The SC Standard states: The students will understand the relationship between
numbers and quantity. Connect counting
to cardinally by demonstrating an understanding that the number of objects is
the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they are counted
(conservation of numbers).
This project will allow students to use technology to broaden their perspectives and enrich their learning by collaborating with classmate and others globally. The students will assume different roles and
responsibilities while they contribute constructively in completing the
project. The class will be divided into groups of three. Each student will have 2 attempts to be an Oreo
cookie stacker, They will also have the role as a counter, and note taker.
See my page labeled Global Collaborator to see a sample project.
